Villa Senecio liegt auf einem Berg im Nordosten von Lefkas, inmitten vieler Olivenbäume und bietet einen spektakulären Blick auf das Meer. Das Gebiet wird als "Kontres" (von dem Wort Kontri, die im lokalen Dialekt bedeutet großen Felsen). Auf einer Höhe von 320 m. Sie den atemberaubenden Blick auf die Stadt, auf den Kanal von Lefkas und die schöne Pringiponisa (Inseln Prinzen), die die bekannten Scorpios sind genießen.
Es ist mit natürlichen Materialien wie Stein, Holz und einem traditionellen Dach gebaut, damit es passt gut in die natürliche Umwelt.
Es wird Ihnen die Lefkadischen Gastfreundschaft und die Wärme eines einfachen Haus, aber gleichzeitig alle modernen Annehmlichkeiten eines Herrenhauses.
Das Haus
Der Name Senecio stammt aus einer Pflanze mit gelben Blüten, die am Ende des Winters blüht. Diese Pflanze kann in der ganzen Unterkunft entfernt.
Villa Senecio ist ein Ferienhaus auf drei Ebenen von 150 qm gebaut. Wie Sie durch den Eingang aus Stein zu Fuß werden Sie begeistert sein. Dies führt Sie zum Haupteingang des Hauses. Im Erdgeschoss befindet sich ein Wohn - Raum, eine Küche und ein Badezimmer. Der Boden ist ein Marmor Schach Stil Muster. Das Wohnzimmer verfügt über einen alten Coronelli Karte. Die erdigen farbigen Sofas und Vorhänge verschmelzen wunderbar mit dem Holz. Es gibt viele Antiquitäten und gehegten Familien Sachen wie alte Nähmaschinen, Gemälde und Drucke, die ein Gefühl von Wärme und Nostalgie zu dem Haus zu geben. Die Lampen und die handgefertigten Vorhängen geben Ihnen ein Gefühl von Luxus. Die Küche und das Wohnzimmer sind vom Flur getrennt. In der Küche finden Sie eine große bayerische Esstisch und ein Waschbecken aus Marmor, die die Küche gibt einen Landhaus-Stil zu finden.
Eine Marmortreppe führt Sie in die erste Etage. Hier finden Sie 2 der 3 Schlafzimmer, das Hauptschlafzimmer mit zwei Marmor Balkon und ein eigenes Bad, und ein kleineres Schlafzimmer mit eigenem Bad, die einen Blick auf den Pool hat zu finden. Die Zimmer sind in sanften Farben und in Kombination mit der antiken Möbeln, geschnürt Vorhänge und die Blätter die Zimmer geben Ihnen ein Gefühl der Ruhe gemalt. Indem Sie die Holztreppe werden Sie auf dem Dachboden zu erreichen, mit seinen freiliegenden Holzdach der lokalen Zypressen, wo das dritte Schlafzimmer und ein eigenes Badezimmer gefunden werden kann gemacht. Die Naturstein bietet einen natürlich kühle Umgebung.
Der Garten
Es gibt viele Stellen im Außenbereich rund um das Haus, wo Sie die spektakuläre Aussicht genießen können.
Es gibt einen herrlichen mediterranen Garten, auf verschiedenen Ebenen gebaut, mit lokalen aromatischen Bäumen und Pflanzen. Der beste Platz ist der traditionelle Kiosk mit einem handgefertigten Esstisch.
Direkt gegenüber dem Kiosk gibt es die Kapelle der Aphrodite. Auf der anderen Seite des Gartens befindet sich der Grillbereich und die Dusche. Die Bronze-Details und der Stein sinken erinnern Sie an eine andere Zeit.
Unterkunft
Die Villa bietet Platz für bis zu sie Personen. Es ist auch zugänglich für Rollstuhlfahrer. Das Hauptgebäude verfügt über drei große Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbetten, jedes mit eigenem Bad. Im Erdgeschoss gibt es ein Sofa, das in ein Bett verwandelt. Ein Badezimmer und eine komplett ausgestattete Küche mit einem Geschirrspüler, einem Kühlschrank, einem Wasserkocher, einer Tassimo-Espressomaschine und einem Toaster sind ebenfalls vorhanden. Das Haus ist klimatisiert. Es gibt Internetzugang und Satellitenfernsehen.
Es gibt Sonnenliegen und einem Holztisch im Poolbereich.
Es gibt Parkplätze für zwei Autos.
Die Stadt Lefkada ist eine 10 Minuten Fahrt, wo Sie Tavernen, Cafés und Bars zu genießen.

Beautiful villa in a great location and with stunning views over the Island. Only a 10 minute drive into the town where there were plenty of great places to eat. The villa is in the mountains and there is a steep drive up to it but worth it when you get there and you do need a car. For evenings out would recommend using the local taxi driver George who knows the villa’s location and was very reliable. We went to a lovely beach at Kathisma which also had a great beach club and pool. Hosts were very helpful at booking stage and were very responsive throughout our stay. Would recommend.
If you are thinking of renting a villa in Lefkas then Lefkada Holiday Rentals should without doubt be your first port of call. From the moment I booked the villa until the end of the holiday they were professional, friendly, polite and prompt in dealing with every query and also arranged car hire for us at a competitive price (Broumis car hire - also recommended). During the holiday I had to report a problem with the cooker and within half an hour the charming owner Vangelis had come out to fix it, which took just a further half hour. The cleaning service was top class. The villa itself - Senecio (or Evi, as it is also known), is an imposing and sympathetically rebuilt/restored stone/marble country house situated approximately 1000ft above the town and extended harbour area which runs along most of Lefkada's east coast and has the most stunning panoramic views of anywhere we've stayed in the Med. The three large upstairs balconies and pool area with its large, quirky stone outdoor bbq/kitchen and seating areas are made for outdoor living, which for us is the whole point of holidaying in Greece. The villa itself has a large downstairs living area which has been beautifully restored, however we found the second bedroom on the first floor a tad small and all the ensuite bathrooms are a bit cramped. Wardrobe space would also be a challenge for six adults bringing full sized suitcases. None of these shortcomings alter the fact that Selencio is a stunning place to spend a restful holiday relaxing in its wonderful outdoor areas (sun or shade!) which is why we give it 5 stars. NB to find the villa follow the road uphill towards Karya (right fork on the Nidri road signposted coming out of Lefkada town) and after approximately 3km look out on a bend for a blue sign pointing left to Villa Selencio - follow the narrow road downhill and take the first (steep uphill) right turn and you'll find the villa up a steep drive at the end (get your revs before you tackle it!!)
A beautiful panoramic 200 degree view from this lovely villa on the hillside. We loved the pool and the seclusion of the villa - the driveway is quite steep but we were able to park both cars under the shaded carport by the house. The villa is only 15 min drive from the sea, a great location!
Villa Senecio has breathtaking views from the pool area and any one of the three large first floor terraces. Externally the architecture is very stylish and quite imposing for a villa of this size, whilst inside good quality, traditional designs have been thoughtfully incorporated especially in the downstairs living area. That's not to say it is without its shortcomings - the second bedroom on the first floor is quite small, the ensuites are all a bit cramped and six adults with full luggage would be pushed for wardrobe space. As mentioned by a previous guest, internet access is pretty awful. However, the four of us are seasoned travellers in Greece and like most when we go on holiday we want to spend as little time indoors as possible which is why, despite the reservations just mentioned, we've given Senecio five stars - it has a large pool surrounded by a range of seating options including an excellent shaded dining area, a quirky undercover stone charcoal BBQ (as well as a gas one) and the fabulous first floor balconies which are ideal for early evening drinks. For us, perfection. Additional, very important factors in our 5* rating were the outstanding service provided by Lefkada Holiday Rentals from start to finish, the high standard of cleaning and the lovely owner Vangelis who was very quick (half an hour) to come out and rectify a problem with the cooker. Without a hesitation, we would stay again.

Amazing view and villa. The swimming pool is very large ,the outdoor area is fantastic. A big welcome package and goodbye package. The owner was very nice and helpful. The road to the villa is steep, but the view is worth the effort.
Stunning location, incredible views, lovely swimming pool and bbq area. Eating area was fantastic WiFi dropped off from time to time but they were there to fix it within a day One of the mattresses was broken, however the owner replaced it almost immediately. A lovely hamper of local products was there to welcome us, of wine and delicious treats. I would highly recommend this place !! Very well stocked with loo paper, hand sanitiser, dishwasher pods, washing pods. The kitchen was well equipped.
We had a great stay. The villa was lovely and the view was amazing- very nice outdoor area. The guests should maybe be made aware of how steep the drive up is. Overall great stay though.

Fantastic villa with a lot of nature stones used for the pillars and fassade of the house as well as marble at many places. Beautyful view over 180 degrees on the sea, island and mainland. Great infrastructure well equipped and of good quality build and big pool. Three balconies as nice and big as many of us can only dream of. Very friendly service, we also met the owner who was very nice and helpful and left some excellent wine and others specialities from the island!
This is a lovely villa with one of the best views I have ever seen. The villa is great for families - though care should be taken with the pool as it is quite deep and has no safety fence - be aware for very young children. We visited in April and were unlucky with the weather but it would be perfect in the warmer months - nice and cool. The host Vangelis and the agents were brilliant - really helpful and quick to respond to requests.
Die Villa Senecio liegt wunderbar einsam auf einem Berg. Der sehr nette Besitzer bringt einem persönlich zum Haus und erklärt alles nötige. Der Ausblick auf das Meer ist unfassbar schön und man kann sich nicht sattsehen. Das macht auch den weiten Weg in die Stadt oder zum Strand von mehr als 20 min wieder wett. Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet und es fehlt einem an nichts. Der Pool ist wunderbar groß und erfrischend. Ich würde das Haus auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen. Wir waren 2 Familien, insgesamt 7 Personen und hatten ausreichend Platz.

Fantastic house, breathtaking views. Cooler, less humid and more breeze than at the water as its 300m's up on an mountain side. The only issue was that there were a little vasps, but the owner came daily to spray to control it. No real problem.

The Villa was absolutely amazing and beautiful. The views were breathtaking, such a wonderful place to have intimate dinners with friends and family. The pool and verandas were very comfortable to kick back in and enjoy life away from work to vacation at. We highly recommend and hope to be back next year. Love it!
