Access to Lefkada
The island of Lefkada (or Lefkas or Levkas) is connected to continental Greece by a free road bridge. In the summer there are many seasonal flights to Lefkada, or to other airports in the neighborhood. Lefkada is in the middle of the Ionian Islands (Corfu, Kefalonia and Zakynthos).
By plane
- Preveza airport (Aktio), 18 km: Preveza (PVK) airport.
- Ioannina airport, 130 km.
- Corfu airport, 1 hour by boat via Igoumenitsa, then 130 km.
- Athens airport, 380 km. Seasonal flights Athens to Preveza-Aktio-Lefkada (May to October) by Aegean Airlines.
You can then rent a car from an agent, or speak with a local agent and have your car rental at Preveza airport waiting for you!
Scheduled flights via Athens (ATH)
- Then a direct flight to Aktio/Preveza (PVK) via Aegean Airlines (since June 2nd until October 13th, 3 times a week: Tue, Fri, Sun).
- Or take the bus Athens to Lefkada (5 times a day, a 4.5 hour trip) from Kifisos Intercity bus station (KTEL tel. Lefkada bus station: +30 2645 22364).

By car or boat
From the ports of Venice, Ancona, Bari or Brindisi in Italy, take a boat to Igoumenitsa (then 130 km to Lefkada). There are several daily departures all year long.
