The Alkyon Hotel is an apartment complex built in the traditional fishing village of Lygia, on the island of Lefkas.

The detached, three-storey house called Aiolos has a kitchen and living room with 2 built-in sofa beds on the ground floor. On the 1st and 2nd floor are two similar bedrooms - both with bathroom - decorated in traditional style. The house also has a private terrace and balconies. Aiolos - enclosed by the greenery of Alkyon’s lush gardens – can accommodate up to 6 persons.

The other detached house, Apollon, has a similar design on the ground floor with a kitchen and living room with built-in sofa bed and a private terrace outside. The spacious bedrooms on the 1st and 2nd floor (with balcony) both have a bathroom and are decorated in a modern style.

The myth relates how the winged daughter of Aiolos, god of the winds, hunted by the divine fury, was looking for a place to lay her eggs out of the winter winds. Zeus took pity on her and gave her fifteen sunny days, which are known as the Alkyon days.
